Chah Bahar Air Base, 10th Tactical Air Base

The Chah Bahar Air Base (N25°26'36.06" E060° 22' 55.61") is located outside of the city of Chah Bahar. This base is part of the Southern Area Command of the Iranian Air Force. It is operated solely by the military.

There are two runways at this base. Both are asphalt. The majority of the facility is reportedly located underground. Reported at the base as of 2008 were the 101st Tactical Fighter Squadron, flying F-4D aircraft, and a detachment of Su-24 aircraft. A base SAR flight with AB-212 and Bell 214 helicopters was also reported.

Construction of the military facilities at Chah Bahar, which include the air base and the naval base was begun before the Iranian Revolution in 1979 by the Shah. These facilities were subsequently completed following the Revolution. The naval facilities were subsequently renamed Bandar-e Beheshti.
