The 75,000 square meters of Kim Il Sung Square is seen by many residents as the heart of Pyongyang. The square affords a view of the Juche Tower across the Taedong River and is also the home of the Grand People's Study House. The study house, built in honor of Kim Il Sung's 70th birthday, is a massive library that can accomodate 12,000 users a day.
