Combat Air Command No 3 (Comando Aereo De Combate No 3)
CACOM-3 is located at the "General Alberto Pauwels Rodriguez" air base in Baranquilla, Colombia. Its mission is to protect Colombia's northern border. CACOM-3 is comprised of Air Group 41, which includes a combat squadron (411) and a general services squadron (412).
In the 1980's, Squadron 411 recieved 32 A-37B Dragonfly's. In 1984, the FAC acquired 15 OA-37B's with the goal of strengthening the FAC's coastal patrolling operations and defending the San Andres and Providencia islands, which were being threatened at the time by the Sandinista government in Nicaragua.
