Shantou-class fast attack gun craft

These fast attack gun craft, sometimes known as the Swatow class, were based on the Soviet P-6 design but had a steel hull. Some units had a single 81-mm recoilless rifle mounted forward. They were formerly known as the SWATOW class. Completed between 1957 and 1960, the remaining 25 units were discarded between 1987 and 1991. A total of 8 units were transferred to North Korea in 1968, and 14 to North Vietnam in the early 1960s (where they are no longer operational).
