YRR - Radiological Repair Barge
YRR is defined as a non-self-propelled radiological repair barge used to support nuclear plant overhauls. It is designed to provide a facility for the decontamination of, or subsequent repairs to installed machinery and equipment aboard nuclear ships and submarines that have been exposed to radioactive material as a result of operation of their installed nuclear propulsion plant.
YR, YRDH, YRDM and YFN type craft have in the past been modified to serve this purpose.
