RC-135V/W RIVET JOINT surveillance aircraft are equipped with an extensive array of sophisticated intelligence gathering equipment enabling military specialists to monitor the electronic activity of adversaries.

E-8 JSTARS - The Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) is a long-range, air-to-ground radar surveillance system designed to locate, classify and track ground targets in all weather conditions.

The U-2 provides continuous day or night, high-altitude, all-weather, stand-off surveillance of an area in direct support of U.S. and allied ground and air forces.

SR-UAV Hunter - Hunter is a day and night reconnaissance, intelligence, surveillance, and target acquisition drone that operates at a range of 200 kilometers.

MAE-UAV Predator - Predator Medium Altitude Endurance (MAE) UAV sensors include an electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) Versatron Skyball Model 18 with a zoom lens and a spotter lens, and a Westinghouse synthetic aperture radar (SAR).

The Keyhole / Improved Crystal satellite is similar to the Hubble Space Telescope, pointed down rather than up. The optical sensors on the satellite provide real-time transmission of images to ground stations.

The Lacrosse / Vega satellite carries an imaging radar that can see through clouds. It uses synthetic aperture radar (SAR) techniques to provide images with a resolution that approaches that of photographic reconnaissance satellites.
