1.  MISSION.  THE BATTALION HEADQUARTERS PROVIDES COMMAND,
CONTROL, AND SUPERVISION OF THE OPERATIONS OF THE MILITARY
INTELLIGENCE BATTALION.  THE HEADQUARTERS AND OPERATIONS
COMPANY PROVIDES COMBAT SERVICE SUPPORT TO THE BATTALION.
2.  ASSIGNMENT.  ORGANIC TO A MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BATTALION,
DIGITIZED DIVISION (XXI), TOE 34385F000.
3.  CAPABILITIES.
     A.  AT LEVEL 1, THIS UNIT PROVIDES:
         (1)  COMMAND AND CONTROL OF ASSIGNED AND ATTACHED
ELEMENTS OF THE BATTALION.
         (2)  AN ANALYSIS AND CONTROL ELEMENT FOR MANAGEMENT,
ANALYSIS, AND INTEGRATION, TO INCLUDE TRAFFIC ANALYSIS,
ELECTRONIC INTELLIGENCE ANALYSIS, PRODUCT REPORTING, AND
MAINTENANCE OF A SIGNALS INTELLIGENCE ELECTRONIC WARFARE
TECHNICAL DATA BASE.
         (3)  UNIT ADMINISTRATION FOR ASSIGNED AND ATTACHED
UNITS.
         (4)  FOOD SERVICE SUPPORT FOR ALL ELEMENTS OF THE
BATTALION EXCEPT FOR ELEMENTS DEPLOYED FORWARD IN THE DIRECT
SUPPORT ROLE.
         (5)  DIRECT SUPPORT MAINTENANCE ON ORGANIC ELECT-
RONIC WARFARE, SIGNALS INTELLIGENCE, COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY
(COMSEC), CONTROLLED CRYPTOGRAPHIC ITEMS (CCI), AND
COMMUNICATIONS-ELECTRONICS EQUIPMENT FOR UNITS OF THE
BATTALION.
         (6)  DIRECT SUPPORT MAINTENANCE FOR QUICKFIX SYSTEM
ELECTRONIC WARFARE EQUIPMENT ORGANIC TO THE COMMAND AVIATION
COMPANY, TOE 01308F000.
         (7)  AN ANALYSIS & CONTROL TEAM (ACT) FOR PRIORITY
USE, AT OTHER THAN MANEUVER BDES, WITHIN THE DIVISION.
     B.  THE COLUMNS UNDER LEVELS 2 AND 3 ADAPT THIS TABLE FOR
REDUCED OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES IN DECREMENTS OF 10%, FROM
APPROXIMATELY 90% FOR LEVEL 2 TO APPROXIMATELY 80% FOR LEVEL
3.
     C.  THIS UNIT IS NOT ADAPTABLE TO A TYPE B ORGANIZATION.

IS ACCEPTABLE.
5.  BASIS OF ALLOCATION.  ONE PER MILITARY INTELLIGENCE
BATTALION, DIGITIZED DIVISION, TOE 34385F000.
6.  CATEGORY.  THIS UNIT IS DESIGNATED A CATEGORY II UNIT.

7.  MOBILITY.
     A.  THIS UNIT IS CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING 270,200 POUNDS
(20,776 CUBIC FEET) OF TOE EQUIPMENT WITH ORGANIC VEHICLES.
     B.  THIS UNIT HAS 154,576 POUNDS (16,323 CUBIC FEET) OF
TOE EQUIPMENT REQUIRING TRANSPORTATION.
     C.  THIS UNIT REQUIRES 100 PERCENT OF ITS TOE EQUIPMENT
AND SUPPLIES TO BE TRANSPORTED IN A SINGLE LIFT USING ITS
AUTHORIZED ORGANIC VEHICLES (PER MI MOBILITY AND TRANSPORTA-

    b.  Purpose and authority for the preparation and revision of
this Table of Organization and Equipment (TOE).
        (1)  Design of the Headquarters, Headquarters and Operations
Company, Military Intelligence Battalion, Digitized Division (XXI).
        (2)  This DTOE applies concept changes, Manpower Require-
ments Criteria (MARC), and F-edition TOE development procedures.
        (3)  This TOE has been prepared in accordance with the
provisions of current TOE development regulations and guidance and
"F"TOE exceptions.
        (4)  All equipment readiness codes (ERCs) in this TOE have
been reviewed to ensure strict compliance with criteria in AR 220-1,
Unit Status Reporting.
        (5)  The unit MARC code is 21A.  This is a combat support
unit which operates in the division area.  The unit is mobile and
normally maneuvers/moves.
2.  EMPLOYMENT. The HQ,HQ & Ops Co. (HHOC) operates as a tactical and
administrative headquarters.  The battalion headquarters controls
the tactical operations.  Headquarters elements are positioned
throughout the division in order to achieve maximum effectiveness.
The Headquarters & Ops Co. is employed near the battalion headquart-
ers to support the functions of command and control.
3.  METHODS OF OPERATIONS AND FUNCTION.
     a.  PARAGRAPH 01, COMMAND SECTION.
        (1)  The function of the command section is to provide the
battalion units with command, control, planning, supervision, and
administrative logistical support required to conduct unit
operations.

directs and controls the operation of the ACE.

conduit for receiving intelligence data from division, corps,
and EAC and distributing it to appropriate users.  It is for
priority use in other than the maneuver brigades within the Div.
