On 13 November in Warsaw, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys met with the Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski. The Ministers discussed regional security and resilience issues, the threat posed by the Belarusian regime's hybrid attacks against Lithuania, and the escalation of tensions in the region. The meeting highlighted the role of Belarus in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine and the need to increase pressure on the regime.

"This is not the first time that both Lithuania and Poland have faced hybrid attacks by the Minsk regime. Migrant flows continue to look for ways to cross the border illegally, and airspace violations with smuggler balloons continue in Lithuania. These are deliberate actions by Belarus against our countries aimed at destabilising our democratic societies. Only by coordinating our actions together and speaking with one voice can we ensure that our response will be effective," stressed the head of Lithuania's diplomacy.

The meeting also focused on strengthening the transatlantic bond. Minister Budrys shared the results of his working visit to Washington, D.C., and New York.

Lithuanian and Polish Foreign Ministers also discussed the situation in Ukraine, issues of support for the country, cooperation within the European Union and NATO formats, and topical issues of bilateral relations.
