Task Force Baghdad Soldiers unearth
IEDs
BAGHDAD, Iraq -Task Force Baghdad
Soldiers, acting on intelligence reports, uncovered 24 sixty
millimeter mortar initiators on March 19 in south Baghdad. The
improvised explosive devices appeared to have been freshly buried.
After receiving a report of armed men placing IEDs, the Soldiers
cordoned off the area and searched for weapons caches, prior to
finding the buried IEDs.
The Soldiers cleared the site of all IEDs found in the search.
