| January 15, 2005 Release Number: 05-01-20C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE IRAQ: MARINE KILLED IN ACTION SOUTH OF BAGHDAD FORWARD OPERATING BASE KALSU, Iraq -- A U.S. Marine was killed in action Jan. 15, while conducting security and stability operations in Babil Province. Force protection measures preclude the release of any information that could aid enemy personnel in assessing the effectiveness, or lack thereof, of their tactics, techniques and procedures.
