CAR BOMB BLAST KILLS BYSTANDER, WOUNDS ANOTHER IN CENTRAL BAGHDAD
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- A suspected vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near the Virgin Mary Catholic Church in central Baghdad killing one Iraqi bystander and wounding another at 3 p.m. on Nov. 7.
Initial reports from the scene of the attack said that the suspected car bomb blast occurred 200 meters from the church.
A Task Force Baghdad patrol responding to the incident came under attack by small-arms fire. One Soldier was wounded and was evacuated to a Multi-National Forces medical treatment facility.
The incident is under investigation.
