Attackers lead soldiers to weapons, cash cache
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Soldiers from Task Force 1st Armored Division's 2nd Squadron, 12th Cavalry captured two suspected insurgents and confiscated their weapons cache Sunday.
The attackers fired on the 1st Cavalry Division soldiers while they were on patrol in the Al Mansoor district here at about 4 p.m.
The soldiers pursued their attackers into a house and took them into custody. The soldiers also seized eight AK-47 assault rifles with 12 magazines. They also confiscated more than 13 million Iraqi dinars and 1,600 U.S. dollars.
