KABUL, Afghanistan -- In Kandahar, 10 additional voter registration sites are projected to open within the next 30 days.

Afghanistan continues making progress in infrastructure development, improving the daily life of its people. In Jalalabad, the Chorgali Well Grand Opening ceremony will be held tomorrow.

On Monday, two weapons caches were confiscated in the Baghran Valley. Also on Monday near Bagram Air Base, Coalition Forces recovered two small weapons caches and destroyed all munitions - including an SA-3 warhead - in place.

On Tuesday, in the vicinity of Nagalam, Afghan nationals turned in a weapons cache consisting of ammunition and a rocket launcher. Also on Tuesday, Coalition forces identified a cache of air-to-ground missiles in the Jalalabad airport.

Coalition forces continue to work hand-in-hand with the Afghan government and the people of this country to facilitate the reconstruction process. Provincial Reconstruction Teams are a key part of that strategy. The grand opening of the Ghazni PRT is scheduled for March 4. This marks the tenth official opening of a coalition PRT in Afghanistan.
