| February 13, 2004 Release Number: 04-02-26 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TASK FORCE OLYMPIA DETAINS SUSPECTS, COLLECTS WEAPONS MOSUL, Iraq - Soldiers from 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) under the operational control of Task Force Olympia detained personnel suspected of anti-Coalition activities and recovered weapons and other explosives in northern Iraq Thursday. Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment conducted a cordon-and-knock operation in Mosul and detained one person suspected of involvement in planning attacks on Coalition forces. Soldiers from the 503rd Military Police Battalion detained one person suspected of involvement in planning attacks on Coalition forces. Members of the Coalition for Iraqi Unity, a concerned group of citizens in northwestern Iraq, came to the 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment area of operations and turned in 100 rocket-propelled-grenade warheads, 6 RPG boosters, 114 hand grenades, 134 60 mm rockets, three 57 mm rounds, 360 rounds of various calibers, 10 RPG sights and three sniper rifles.
