| February 17, 2004 Release Number: 04-02-09C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SOLDIER DIES OF INJURIES SUSTAINED IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT BAGHDAD, Iraq - An 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper died after succumbing to injuries sustained in a military-vehicle rollover accident near Baghdad Friday evening. The paratrooper was medically evacuated to the 31st Combat Support Hospital and received treatment until the time of death at approximately 9:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14. The paratrooper's name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The cause of the accident is under investigation. -30- |
