| January 13, 2004 Release Number: 04-01-32 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TF ALL AMERICAN HELICOPTER DOWN NEAR HABBANIYAH RAMADI, Iraq - A helicopter was downed near Habbaniyah, Iraq at approximately 10 a.m. today. The AH-64 Apache attack helicopter was conducting an aerial security patrol for a ground convoy moving in the area. A quick reaction force was dispatched from Forward Operating Base Manhattan and Rifles to secure the aircraft. Both pilots have been recovered with no apparent injuries. The incident is currently under investigation. -30- |
