| September 2, 2003 Release Number: 03-09-02 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1AD SOLDIER KILLED IN HELICOPTER ACCIDENT BAGHDAD, Iraq - One 1st Armored Division soldier was killed and another was injured in a helicopter accident early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred at Camp Dogwood at 12:30 a.m. Both of the soldiers were medically evacuated to 28th Combat Support Hospital. The accident occurred when the UH-60 helicopter rolled over after making a hard landing. The soldiers' names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. -30- |
