Repatriation for North Korean People's Army soldier
SEOUL, Republic of Korea (UNC) June 23, 2003 - The United Nations Command will return the remains of one North Korean soldier to representatives of the North Korean People's Army at Panmunjom at 11 a.m., June 24. The deceased was found June 17 on the Eastern Bank of the Imjin River.
Media are welcome to attend the repatriation ceremony, but coverage will be by a mandatory-share domestic and international media pool.
It is requested that the Ministry of National Defense press corps select seven domestic pool members and Seoul Foreign Correspondent's Club develop an international pool with seven members.
Fax names, employing agencies and KID/passport numbers to Mr. Kim Young-Kyu at 7913-3537 by 4 p.m. today. Pool members will meet at Tongil Bridge not later than 10 a.m. June 24 and will convoy to Camp Bonifas and subsequent movement to Conference Row.
