General Support Center Europe

The General Support Center Europe, with 2,000 soldiers and civilians, is the only echelon above corps general support supply and maintenance organization in the theater with unique multifunctional logistics capabilities ready to perform any mission which may be assigned.

The General Support Center Europe is responsible for the operation of the theater logistics sustainment base. Provides supply, maintenance and distribution services to U.S. Army units in the EUCOM Area of Responsibility. Execute a General Support Maintenance Program for components and end items. Receive, store and redistribute materiel of supply classes I, II, III (P), IV, VII and IX. Receive, store, maintain and issue theater project, decrement and BASOPS stocks. Maintain theater commercial vehicular and non-vehicular BASOPS equipment. Execute the Theater Army Oil Analysis and Materiel Testing program. Operate the Logistics Contract Management Office. Perform non-deployable logistics services as directed by higher headquarters. Perform DS Supply Support for organic units and assigned customers. Perform DS backup maintenance services.

The GSC-E, has totally and successfully adopted the international ISO 9002 Quality Standards System as a foundation for a comprehensive quality management program. This permits all GSC-E activities to both offer and guarantee workmanship of the highest possible quality. The competency of GSCE personnel is verified by a steady customer satisfaction rate above 99%. Preparations are under way for the adoption of the international ISO 14001, Environmental Management Standards.
