Company D, 82nd Aviation Brigade
On 15 January 2006, as part of the Army's transformation towards a modular force, the title and composition of Company D was changed.
Company D was constituted 16 September 1979 in the Regular Army as Company D, 82D Aviation Battalion, an element of the 82D Airborne Division, and activated at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It was reorganized and redesignated 15 January 1987 as Company D, 82D Aviation, an element of the 82D Airborne Division. The company is an organic element of the 82D Aviation Regiment
