6th Squadron - 9th Cavalry Regiment
As part of the Army's transformation towards a modular force, 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment was stood up with the 3rd Brigade on July 14, 2005 at Fort Hood.
On order, 6-9 CAV deploys to a designated contingency area of operations and conducts full spectrum operations in support of 3 HBCT mission. On order, redeploys and prepares for future operations.
