41st Transportation Company (PLS)

The mission of the 41st Transportaion Company (PLS) is to provide truck transportation for containerized and palletized cargo in support of V Corps units and others as directed.

On order, the unit deploys/redeploys to support V Corps units and others as directed. It establishes a company area of operations to conduct/sustain transportation support, provide force protection, and defend truck transportation or assigned areas as required.

The 41st Transportaion Company was originally constituted on 1 May 1936 in the Regular Army as Company C, 49th Quartermaster Regiment. It activated on 1 April 1942 at Berkeley, CA, as Company C, 49th Quartermaster Truck Regiment.

The unit was reorganized and redesignated on 16 December 1943 as the 3543d Quartermaster Truck Company. It inactivated on 25 June 1946 in France.

The unit was converted and redesignated on 1 August 1946 as the 3543d Transportation Corps Truck Company. It was redesignated on 6 March 1947 as the 41st Transportation Truck Company. It was again reorganized and redesignated on 5 June 1953 as the 41st Transportation Company. It inactivated on 15 September 1995 in Germany.

The unit was reactivated on 16 September 1998, as the 41st Transportation Company (PLS).
