325th Brigade Support Battalion
In FY 2006, as part of the Army's tranfomation towards a modular force, the 325th Forward Support Battalion stood down from DISCOM and stood up as the 325th Brigade Support Batalionwith the 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division.
The 325th Brigade Support Battalion was constituted in August 1941 in the Army of the United States, activated in October 1941 as the 25th Medical Battalion and assigned to the 25th Infantry Division. Members of the Battalion supported the Division at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The Battalion deployed to Guadalcanal in November 1942 and later provided support throughout the Pacific for the remainder of World War II. In June 1949, the Battalion was designated as a regular Army unit and in July 1950 deployed to the Korean Peninsula to support the Division in all major campaigns against the North Korean Communist forces. In 1966, the Battalion moved to the Republic of Vietnam where it served meritoriously before returning to Hawaii.
In March 1970 it was reorganized as Bravo Company, 425th Support Battalion and in March 1972 again reorganized and designated the 25th Medical Battalion. In December 1982, the unit was reorganized and designated the 1st Forward Support Battalion (Provisional), and again designated the 25th Medical Battalion in May of 1985. Finally, on 17 May 1991 it was reorganized and designated the 325th Forward Support Battalion.
