3-25th Aviation Regiment
The 3rd Battalion, 25th Aviation was originally constituted on 17 June 1979 in the Regular Army as Company C, 25th Aviation Battalion, an element of the 25th Infantry Division, and activated at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. It was then inactivated 15 October 1985 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and again activated 16 January 1986 at Wheeler Air Force Base, Hawaii. On 16 May 1988, 3-25 Aviation was reorganized and redesignated as Company C, 25th Aviation; concurrently relieved from assignment to the 25th Infantry Division and assigned to the 10th Mountain Division.On 15 October 1988, 3-25 Aviation was reorganized and redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3d Battalion, 25th Aviation.Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3d Battalion, 25th Aviation, reorganized and redesignated 15 March 1996 as Company C, 25th Aviation; concurrently relieved from assignment to the 10th Mountain Division and assigned to the 25th Infantry Division.
As of 2006, the 3rd Battalion, 25th Aviation consist of a Headquarters and Headquarters Company, a Command and Control company, a Heavy-lift company, a MEDVAC company, a maintenance company, and a support company
