172d Support Group (Corps) (CSS)

The 172d Corps Support Group is a US Army Reserve Troop Program Unit (TPU). TPU soldiers work part-time and receive pay only when they perform duty. Pay is by exception: when a TPU soldier performs duty, he/she submits paperwork and the system manually inputs the pay.

Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 172d Support Group, was constituted 24 November 1967 in the Army Reserve as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 172d Direct Support Group. Activated 30 December 1967 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. Reorganized and redesignated 26 March 1970 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 172d Support Group. Location changed 1 February 1979 to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
